Parent Involvement

Parent Involvement

Parent Involvement is a key to student achievement success. Midway welcomes all of our families to participate in your student's education. We encourage you to communicate regularly with your student's teachers and to be active in school activities.

Your child's student planner is the best way to keep in touch with your child's teacher. Look at it daily to see any homework assignments, notes, or announcements from the teacher. You can write notes, request a conference, or write changes about your child's transportation for the day.

Ways to Be Involved in Your Child's Education

  • Become a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Visit the PTA website.
  • Volunteer at the school as a Dividend. Sign up through the Dividends website
  • Schedule a teacher conference. View the staff directory.

This year we have a few openings on our School Advisory Council. The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a school-based group intended to represent the school, the community, and those persons closest to the students that share responsibility for supporting the school’s continuous improvement. SAC assists in the development and monitoring of school goals.  Meetings are held four times a year. To be a voting council member, you must be voted in by the school community.

SAC Meeting Dates:

Quarter 2 - Thursday, November 5th  at 4 PM

Quarter 3 - Thursday, January 28th at 4 PM
